Construction site supervisor is a primary role for companies in the building and construction sector. They manage, control, coordinate and plan building projects, making them a key player in ensuring the successful completion of construction works.

Construction Supervisor: planning, organization and administration

The site supervisor is involved from the early stages of the project, during the preparatory phase and as plans are drafted. They identify the constraints and specificities that apply to the project and are responsible for applying the proper health and safety measures. The supervisor is also in charge of dividing up the work between the various construction site workers in line with the works schedule.

The site supervisor attends site meetings with the main contractor, the contracting authority and the construction site manager. During the meetings, they inform the various parties of any problems identified during the progress of the project. The site supervisor will monitor and adjust the work schedule, ensure compliance with health and safety requirements for the duration of the works on site, and assist at handover.
